Fencing is a unique sport which commands discipline, physical endurance and wit. Two competitors face off in a “bout”, and compete to score points with their weapons. A fencer must apply tactics and strategies together with fast blade movements and footwork in order to beat an opponent.

In order to ensure our fencers have the basic understanding of the important aspects of fencing in the key fencing skills and physical attributes, the coaches have worked out a comprehensive workplan to build up our fencers’ stamina, speed, coordination, footwork, handwork, attacking and defending strategies.

The Greendale Fencing Team is the CCA to be in if you are a person who rises to challenges and perseveres in overcomes obstacles to be triumphant in character, heart, mind and body. As a niche CCA in Greendale, the fencing team carry the torch to sustaining CCA excellence over the years as shown below.
