Greendale Secondary School participated in ‘North East Schools Go Green 3’ which is organised by North East CDC with the National Environment Agency (NEA) and sponsored by Senoko Powers. This event gave students the opportunity to influence the community to go green with their innovative ideas.
4 students from 2E1 participated in this competition with their entry, ‘Auto Switch for Fans and Lights in Classroom’ as part of their Project Work. This proposed system uses motion sensor and is able to switch itself off totally when motion is not detected within an area and hence reduces electrical wastages.
The team comprising Tay Kian Hong (Leader), Khairina, Shin Dong Hee and Tricia Voon, was awarded 1st Runner-Up for their efforts! Congratulations!
